Stem-level editing workspace inside Songer
Description:
Open a generated song as editable stems in a multitrack timeline inside Songer, rather than downloading and moving everything into a DAW to continue working.
The core idea is that traditional editing controls sit alongside AI controls in the same project, so a producer can work on the material directly: regenerate only a selected eight-bar section while leaving everything else intact, keep a vocal performance but change the drums, extend a breakdown by a set number of bars, or ask for alternative basslines for one section.
A first version would not need to match a full DAW. Suggested scope:
Multitrack stem timeline
Cut, copy, move and extend sections
Lock individual tracks or regions
Regenerate only selected regions
Stem-level mixer and effects
MIDI generation and export
Automation
Tempo and key controls
Export individual stems or the whole project for use in Cubase, Ableton, Logic and others
The wider point is control after generation rather than more automation: keeping a generation you already like while changing one part of it, with the producer making the decisions about what stays and what changes.
